Congratulations on the upcoming birth of your baby!
We realize this is a busy and exciting time for you and our goal is to be available to answer all of your questions. We encourage you to set up a complimentary “get acquainted” visit in advance of your delivery to meet our doctors, learn about our practice and see the office. Please call our office at (708) 383-2900 for an appointment.
For parents delivering at Prentice Women’s Hospital
Upon admission to the hospital simply give the nursery personnel the name of any of our doctors. The nursery personnel will then contact Oak Park Pediatrics so that we can examine your baby in the hospital. After discharge from the hospital, your baby’s first office visit usually occurs within one to three days.
For parents delivering at other hospitals.
Upon admission to the hospital you should request that the on-staff pediatrician see your baby. Upon discharge from the hospital, please call our office at (708) 383-2900 to set up your first office visit. We ask that you try to bring your baby’s hospital discharge records to your first office visit. These may include the date of the first Hepatitis B immunization, hearing screening and/or any lab tests results. These records can be extremely helpful and necessary should your baby experience any medical issues in the newborn period.
