Founded Oak Park Pediatrics in 2011
Dr. Erin Taback has been serving patients in Oak Park, River Forest, Forest Park, Berwyn, Riverside and the surrounding communities since 2000. In 2011, Dr. Taback founded Oak Park Pediatrics in order to bring the continuity of care and exceptional, personalized service that she believes all patients (and their parents) expect and deserve.
Dr. Taback grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1992, she graduated cum laude and received a BS in Biology from the University of Michigan. She graduated from medical school at Temple University School of Medicine in 1996. Dr. Taback then moved to Chicago, where in 1999 she completed her pediatric residency at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. After completing her residency, Dr. Taback spent one year as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Highland Park Hospital. Since then Dr. Taback has been in private practice.
Dr. Taback is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and an Instructor of Clinical Pediatrics at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. She holds privileges and sees newborns at Prentice Women’s Hospital of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is an Associate Staff Member at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Dr. Taback also serves on the Officers Committee of the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Medical and Dental Staff.
Dr. Taback lives in Oak Park with her husband and their two children. She is very knowledgeable about services available to children in the area such as park district programs, community activities and pre-schools, and serves on the Advisory Board for Wonder Works, a Children’s Museum in Oak Park. When not working, Dr. Taback enjoys golf, gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Elizabeth Thompson grew up in McHenry, IL, and in 2003 graduated magna cum laude and received a BS in pre-professional studies from the University of Notre Dame. She then graduated from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in 2008, and in 2011 completed her pediatric residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill. From 2011-2013, Dr. Thompson served as a Pediatric Hospitalist and Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at UNC Hospitals where she cared for general pediatric patients and pediatric neurology patients admitted to the hospital and also provided coverage for the newborn nursery.
Dr. Thompson is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and an Assistant Clinician at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. She holds privileges and sees newborns at Prentice Women’s Hospital and is an Associate Staff Member at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
Dr. Thompson lives in Oak Park with her husband and their five children. One of the things she values most is establishing lasting relationships with her patients and their families in the community she calls home. Outside of work, Dr. Thompson enjoys cooking, yoga, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Abigail Hodges grew up in Kalamazoo, MI, and in 2005 earned a BA in Biology and Psychology from Northwestern University. She then graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in 2011, and in 2014 completed her pediatric residency at Loyola University Medical Center.

Dr. Hodges lives in Oak Park with her husband and their three young children. Her passions include musicals, opera, college football, travel, and visiting museums and zoos.

Dr. Tara Brito grew up in Bellevue, WA, but fell in love with the Midwest during her 4 years at the University of Notre Dame where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in 2009. She completed medical school at the University of Washington in 2013, and then returned to the Midwest to complete her pediatric residency at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
Dr. Brito is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and an Assistant Clinician at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. She holds privileges and sees newborns at Prentice Women’s Hospital and is an Associate Staff Member at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
Dr. Brito lives in Oak Park with her husband. Outside of work, she loves all things football. Dr. Brito also enjoys cooking and trying out new recipes, is an avid reader, and is always taking book recommendations for her monthly book club.

Dr. Ashima Gupta spent most of her childhood in the suburbs around Denver, Colorado. In 1999, she graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Biology and English from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City in 2008 and completed her residency in pediatrics at Loyola University Medical Center in 2011. Dr. Gupta has practiced pediatrics previously at a community health center in the western suburbs and at a small practice in the northwest side of Chicago.
Dr. Gupta is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Clinician at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. She holds privileges and sees newborns at Prentice Women’s Hospital and is an Associate Staff Member at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
Dr. Gupta lives in Oak Park with her husband, two children, and two dogs. In her spare time, Dr. Gupta enjoys sewing, hiking, tennis, traveling, and gardening.

Dr. Knight grew up in Weston, Florida and she attended the University of Florida in Gainesville where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2014 and continued at the University of Florida for medical school. After twenty-five years of warm weather, she moved to Chicago in 2018 and has enjoyed living in the Midwest. She completed her pediatric residency at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

Additionally, Dr. Knight is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and does lactation consults at Oak Park Pediatrics.
Dr. Knight lives in downtown Chicago and enjoys taking walks around the city, trying new restaurants, watching cooking shows, and spinning.
